These safety covers fit firmly into outlets and are designed to be removed by adults only, protecting your child from dangerous outlet openings. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get some of these, whether from me or any local store. When my daughter was 18 months old, just being a normal inquisitive toddler, she found a paper clip and put it in the outlet. Her cries and the burn on her thumb and finger scared us terribly.
